Role

NLive Radio is the University based local radio station for Northampton, as part of its growth and sustainability it needs to develop the commercial opportunities and relationships with local businesses and organisations.

The role is temporary from the 1st February to the 31st October 2025 

The radio sales executive will be an ambassador for the station, developing and promoting the commercial opportunities and developing new relationships across the area.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Developing the commercial offers of NLive Radio
  • Developing links and relationships with local businesses and organisations
  • Selling the commercial offers to local businesses and organisations
  • Support the administration around the sales process from advert commissioning to invoicing
  • Manage client accounts for campaigns before, during and after
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for ensuring all employment legislative requirements are adhered to including equality and diversity and health and safety issues.

Skills and experience

Educated to degree level or equivalent sectorial work experience
 
 
Essential
Experienced and competent at producing and presenting radio shows to
Commercial/BBC local radio standards
 
Outstanding knowledge of radio studio equipment and radio production techniques
 
Experience in working within community-based projects or activities
 
Good communication skills both written and verbal
 
Desirable
 
Experience in teaching or tutoring others, young people and adults
