Role
*Ringfenced to LJMU students only*

 
The intern will assist in the development of a handbook for youth work students starting on the new Youth Work Degree Apprenticeship (DA), commencing in the School of Education in 2025. The handbook, which will be called The Youth Worker Compass will be designed to help youth work students to track, reflect upon, document and develop their professional identity as a youth worker throughout their on the job and off the job learning, throughout the duration of their three years studying on the Youth Work DA. The aim of the handbook is to support Youth Work DA students in the development of their professional identity and to support their wellbeing

Duties and responsibilities
Working closely with the Programme Leader, the intern will assist in the development of The Youth Worker Compass, including researching, sourcing, thinking up and compiling activities that foster reflexivity, self-assessment, and that promote wellbeing to be included in thehandbook. The intern will them also assist, again working closely with the Programme Leader, in the presentation and formatting of The Youth Worker Compass.

Skills and experience
The successful candidate will be an undergraduate student at LJMU, studying on a degree apprenticeship programme or an undergraduate student on another programme that has a substantial placement element.
