Description
Role
The Development & Alumni Engagement team is responsible for generating philanthropic donations to advance Warwick’s strategic priorities, such as student support, widening participation and research into global challenges in energy, health and sustainability. To manage and inform this activity, the Development & Alumni Engagement team use and maintain Blackbaud CRM (BBCRM), the University’s database of alumni, donors and stakeholders.
This role will assist members of the team with several ongoing initiatives and specific projects focused on 1) enhancing the data held in BBCRM which includes reviewing, updating and improving the data to advance fundraising and engagement; 2) processing event registrations and profile updates 3) conducting research making use of online search tools and subscription-based directories.
Duties and responsibilities
1. To perform high quality data entry onto the alumni and stakeholder database (BBCRM).
2. To edit and standardise data within spreadsheets in preparation for batch imports.
3. Process online event registrations and profile updates into BBCRM.
4. To perform data quality checks on BBCRM to ensure all data entered is accurate and up to date.
5. To implement approved changes to BBCRM to enhance the quality and availability of data and so provide improved support for fundraising and alumni engagement activities.
6. To research individuals and organisations via the internet and other electronic sources and find accurate biographical, business and philanthropic information.
7. Ad-hoc support for any other projects/duties as directed by your Line Manager
Skills and experience
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Excellent keyboard skills
- Good familiarity with MS Office, in particular Excel and Word
- Ability to assimilate complex information quickly
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly competent in performing Web searches
- Experience of using online resources and social media, in particular LinkedIn
- Experience of working with databases and an awareness of Data Protection regulations is desirable
