THE ROLE
Corporate Services at De Montfort University is looking to recruit a SDG Impact Manager (Job share) in Governance &Legal Services.
Expected start date: January 2025
Expected end date: July 2025

Rate of pay: £20.26

This role is an Office based role working Monday to Friday 18.5 hours a week.
The SDG Impact Manager will be a key member of the sustainability team at DMU and will lead a small inter-department team responsible for driving DMU’s performance in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. The role will involve co-ordinating and organising the DMU’s SDG Fellows and the Campus Collective Sustainability programmes.
Duties and responsibilities
· Support the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings annual data gathering for submission and help with analysis of the results.
· Hold responsibility for the production of material for DMU’s website in support of the THE submissions.
· Manage the staff and Student Frontrunners working in the UNAI SDG impact Hub.
· Promote activities surrounding the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs).
· Manage social media outputs across a variety of platforms.
· Work with the UN SDG Impact Fellow programme to drive engagement in the Sustainable Development Goals.
· Create activities for the Campus Collective Sustainability project to encourage all staff and students to participate
· Liase with and support the Education for Sustainable Development academic lead/Head of DMU Sustainability in datagathering and engagement for projects.
· Oversee materials written to promote activities within the SDG hub and associated programmes.
· Organise and administrate the reporting of activities linked to the SDGs at DMU.
· Develop project plans and oversee projects associated with the SDG Impact Hub.
Reporting:
· Oversee collection and collation of all data related to Times Higher Education data submissions
· Take responsibility for the contact and stakeholder databases, ensuring that information is accurate and up-to-date.
· Produce reports and analyses related to the UNAI SDG hub, associated programmes amd projects.
· Keep up-to-date records of all activities.
General:
· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the development and longevity of positive relationships between the Sustainability Strategy team, local networks and the wider university.
· Oversee effective administration of financial processes.
· Lead on updating management on expenditure and provide reports as requested.
· Act as the first point of contact for queries, responding in a timely, polite, and professional manner at all times.
· Perform any other duties commensurate with the job grade as reasonably required from time to time.

Skills and experience
- Educated to Degree level, or equivalent experience.
- Project management and successful delivery of a variety of projects and/or events
- Experience in dealing with and evaluating data and strong analytical skills
- Experience and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, up to senior management
- Previous experience of managing a small team in an office environment
- A proven record of working to and achieving agreed targets and outcomes
- Experience of writing for a variety of audiences, including internal reports as well as a for a wider and mass audiences Knowledge of diverse communities
- This role is subject to a DBS check, the level of DBS check will be determined at offer stage.
