Role
We have an opportunity for a student/graduate to work for an equestrian business based in Kingston, Canterbury.
The intern will work to support the marketing and promotion of the business in the UK and worldwide as well as managing the web sites. They will also handle their social media and create photographs/films that can be used for social media posts such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
There is opportunity for this job to be extended past the initial 4/8 weeks.
Duties and responsibilities
- Get to know company web site , social media platforms, and products- including USBs etc
- Products include WOW Saddles, FreeSpace Girths, Other girths, FreeSpace Bridles, HufZorb, Korrector adjustable air pads
- Meet staff and learn what different staff do and process undertaken
- Daily photographs of finished saddles- usually 3 or 4 in specific format and edit best picture of each saddle to create one glamorous picture and a media factual picture
- Put together weekly “saddle of the week” post
- Weekly mail chimp based on interview with M.D on specific topics chosen from educational, product news, and product information. One mail chimp a week
- Create timetable of fitters to talk to and when – 2 per week- to gain pictures for use in social media scripts
- Work with M.D on product film scripts and create a film board to use when filming
- Film M.D talking about specific product-what it is, why to buy- product benefits, where to use, when to use, how to use summary of product.
- Edit product videos for use in/on different media- so socials, web, mail chimp cpd educational, training course, trade stands etc
- Create aspirational videos and to entice public to buy and inform why they should buy
- Plan social media posting
- Ensuring all graphics and videos saved online
- Work with M.D on creating online video and power point presentation as training course for retailer to use worldwide
- Work on Research/means to learn about public perception of company and products to determine company strengths and weaknesses and where we need to improve
- Design of brochures and managing their production
- Design of magazine adverts in differing sizes
- Design and managing production of physical banners etc for use on trade stands
- Design of digital adverts/banners etc
- Create means of interaction of public via fitters after they have purchased form or just had demos etc
Skills and experience
- Studying or studied a relevant marketing course
- Previous experience of using social media platforms and creating content
- Previous experience taking photographs and videos
- Knowledge of the equestrian industry would be ideal.

This role is based in a remote location so having access to your own vehicle is essential.
