THE ROLE 

The department of the Education Division is looking for a DMU Student (UG or PG) with digital skills and experience to create a new website to showcase our creative and participatory research in the area of education and social justice at De Montfort University. 

The successful candidate will work 75 hours between February and June 2025.

Some work (recordings and meetings) will need to be completed on campus at pre-arranged times, but most can be done from home. 

Expected start date: 10.02.2025

Expected end date: June 2025 

Expected interview date:  30.01.2025

Duties and responsibilities

  • Collate information from academics about their research. 
  • Record AV content talking to academics and student-researchers. 
  • Design and populate web content to a negotiated brief. 
  • Hand over relevant information to academics so that they can maintain and update the website for future use. 

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience creating websites or other online content to a professional standard – please include links to example work in your application. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • The ability to work independently to agreed deadlines. 
  • Ability to work collegiately and respond positively to feedback. 
  • An interest in research methods.
