Overview

We have a portfolio of startups we are currently supporting in various industries including SaaS (Software as a Service), AI, E-commerce, Media production and International Trade. Our services focus on venture building services including: Market Research, Strategy, Ideation and differentiation, Business Model, Brand Positioning, Operations, Go to Market strategy and Marketing. In this role you will be working on all the Marketing aspects of venture building. You will be working with one of our Marketing Collaborators who has expertise in Marketing Consultancy, Digital Marketing, Marketing Automation and Content Creation across all social platforms and has worked with startups around the world. Therefore having an interest to learn in these areas will be important. Our aim as a team will be to build the right foundations for projects/briefs to succeed and work towards delivering the goals and objectives of our clients/founders. We’ll help you not only acquire technical skills, but to also develop transferable soft skills like communication and content skills you can take with you into the real world.

Duties and responsibilities

Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving problems and coming up with creative solutions on how to resolve common issues that young startups face. You will work hands on contributing towards meeting client briefs projects. Throughout the project you will be guided by a marketing expert and will learn the following, (this is not an exhaustive list):- Marketing Strategy: Develop marketing strategies and execute against client brief.- Content Creation: Create engaging and relevant content for multiple platforms including website, podcast channels, social media, newsletter and blogs.

Brand Management: Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing activities to enhance brand visibility and brand awareness.

Social Media Management: Manage social media presence, driving engagement and growing followers through targeted content and campaigns.

SEO: Collaborate with SEO specialist and get technical SEO guidance to inform implementation.- Automation: streamline marketing tasks and effectively reach target audiences using most up to date technology and tools.

AI software and tools: utilise the relevant AI tools throughout the implementation process and increase productivity.

Consultancy: Work side by side with founders advise, recommend and research new and innovative marketing tactics to meet client brief throughout the businesses; lifecycle and align marketing activities with overall business objectives.

Skills and experience

Essential

Interest in digital content creation and a desire to learn new skills.

Strong Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel packages 

Comfortable working in a self-directed way as well as part of the team

Ability to think creatively and outside the box

Thrive in ambiguity wearing multiple hats not expecting each day to be predictable.

A mindset that sees failure as a redirection and moves on quickly to find a solution.

Who is this role for?

This role is suited for current university students, recent graduates studying a marketing related modules wanting to explore working within a marketing/digital marketing role. You will also need to be comfortable working with teams in other parts of the world remotely and adaptable to work collaboratively within startup environments. 

Here are some of the skills, qualities needed to succeed in this role

Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self starter with the ability to work independently to get work done and completed even before the deadline to make time to test and iterate to learn quickly what works and what to implement.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage and present to stakeholders at all levels, communicating confidently, distilling complex information into clear compelling content narratives.

Creative and Proactive: initiate innovative ideas and utilise out of the box thinking, have a can-do attitude, take full ownership and necessary steps to bring our clients vision to life.

Data-driven: analytical thinking and some experience using one or more analytical tools e.g., Google analytics, Hootsuite, Hotjar etc. Carry out research, analyse campaign data, extract insights, refine strategies and enhance future campaigns

Design experience and post production: a bonus if you have experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop and basic film/video editing.HTML, CSS, JavaScript: some knowledge of these technologies is a desirable but not arequirement.AI tools and software: interest in learning and integrating AI within your work.

No need to have extensive experience with any of the skills mentioned above, our successful applicant is someone who wants to learn and is enthusiastic.
