Duties and responsibilities
-
Review and assess MDXSU’s Welcome Programme of 2024, gathering feedback from students, staff and societies to identify successes, challenges, areas of improvement and recommendations
-
Work with the Communications & Insight team to analyse feedback and data, helping to identify key trends and recommendations for 2025 planning
-
Collaborate with different teams across MDXSU, including Communities, Advice & Advocacy and Communications & Insight, to identify the goals and outcomes of the upcoming Welcome Programme
-
Work closely and collaborate with student societies to plan, support and coordinate their involvement in the Welcome Programme for 2025, ensuring a diverse and engaging range of student-led events

Assist in managing the budget for the Welcome Programme, working with teams across MDXSU to track and coordinate spending for planned activities
-
Support the development of a draft programme of events and activity for September 2025, incorporating feedback and ensuring the programme meets the needs of our diverse student body

Manage the delivery of the project, using platforms such as Monday.com
Skills and experience
Essential
-
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with diverse stakeholders
-
Ability to think creatively and bring fresh ideas to event planning
-
Interest in project management, event coordination and student engagement
-
A proactive, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desire to improve the student experience and develop inclusive, engaging activity

Understanding of the Students’ Union and its role in student life at Middlesex
Desirable

Experience in event planning or project coordination

Familiarity with budgeting or financial coordination

Experience working with societies or sports teams

Basic data analysis skills or experience with reviewing feedback/performance metrics
