The placement will be working with the Marketing team who are based in Liverpool.  The team is responsible for campaign management and brand strategy across Club products including Merchandise, Membership, Ticketing, Hospitality, Tours, Museum & OSLCs. The team also offer strategic support to Club partners.

Duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct research into a specific sports related topic to inform LFC’s future marketing and brand strategy around the topic.
  • Research other football clubs and sports teams to build a strategic marketing picture of how LFC’s competitors are positioning themselves on the topic.
  • Engage with Club marketing partners and club wide stakeholders to inform a unified marketing and brand approach on the topic.
  • Present back to senior stakeholders the insight findings and resulting strategic recommendations.  
  • Once approved, support the business in the implementation of the strategy.

Skills and experience

  • Knowledge of and interest in sports marketing and direct to consumer marketing channels.
  • An educational background in marketing would be desirable.
  • Computer literate and highly proficient in MS Office software, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Dynamic and able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.
  • Can work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.
  • Has a 'can do' approach and works to exceed expectations.
