Role
The Doctoral College is undertaking a full review of the training provision for Postgraduate Research Students (PGRs) at Warwick.  

The Project Coordinator will be dedicated to supporting the project from end to end.  
  • They will be an experienced, confident all-round administrator with knowledge of the postgraduate research student journey and experience of supporting projects.  
  • They will provide efficient project administration with minimal supervision ensuring that the project is equipped to deliver on time. 
  • They will also be expected to undertake some of research necessary to fulfil the project.

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Collate, curate and analyse all data relating to PGR training in collaboration with project team members.
  2. Draft and maintain essential project management documentation required by the Project Team.
  3. Draft reports to disseminate progress and outcomes relating to the project.
  4. Contribute to the development and analysis of the PGR Research Experience Feedback survey running in term two.
  5. Organise and run focus groups and other activities to elicit qualitative feedback.
  6. Any other appropriate tasks necessary to fulfil the requirements of the review and support the work of the project team.

Skills and experience
Essential Criteria: 

  • Significant administrative experience, preferably in academic administration in a higher education institution.
  • Experience of project management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including in a project management context, with the ability to communicate effectively according to the audience and mode. 
  • Ability to gather and analyse diverse data sets to identify trends, themes and gaps. 
  • Ability to manage a varied (and changing) portfolio of work effectively and efficiently. 
  • Ability to operate effectively as a team member and exercise a high level of independence.
  • Ability to manage and respond to the expectations of multiple stakeholders.
  • Confident and competent IT user with experience of quickly learning and using unfamiliar systems.
  • Ability to influence the work of others without being in a position of authority.
Desirable:
  • Experience of postgraduate research.
