Role
This is a very exciting opportunity to work for a well established and respected design and build contractor for marketing solutions; Exhibition Stands, Roadshows, Events, Showrooms and Commercial Interiors. Their office and manufacturing facility is based in Cheshire, a central location for servicing their clients across the UK and mainland Europe.

Salary band is £20,000 - £25,000 with scope for increase beyond on passing probation. Working hours and days are Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.
Full clean driving license is required for this position.
Duties and responsibilities
The CAD technician is responsible for creating working drawings, completing risk assessments and method statements and filing all design documentation. Meeting with the design and manufacture team to discuss design concepts for CAD models and produce production drawings.
- Produce working drawings for all confirmed projects
- Utilise knowledge of various machines, manufacturing practices and building materials to complete drawings
- Liaise with WM and Supervisors regarding manufacture of all components
- Take part in a daily workshop walkaround
- Assist with the production of bespoke outsourced items
- Preparation of CNC files
- Preparation of drawings for organisers approval
- Produce first draft Method Statements, Risk Assessments for Health and Safety and the Construction Phase Plans
- Produce Graphics plans
- Update existing drawings as new information becomes available.
- Update all tasks on Planner
- Filing all drawings and documents on server
- Ordering all manufacture materials in line with costs on project document
- Attending internal handover and production meetings
- Provide feedback at project de-briefs
- Produce drawings for any internal projects
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
- Help out with any other project tasks as directed
Skills and experience
- Previous work experience as an CAD drafter.
- Advanced knowledge of CAD software to be able to prepare technical drawings efficiently.
- Knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, and architecture.
- Knowledge of exhibition safety and structure regulations.
- Excellent technical design skills.
- Good communication skills.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications.
- Ability to manage your workload and meet client deadlines, showing you can effectively manage your time.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the team, organisers and clients.
- The ability to recognise and solve practical problems or issues.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast paced environment
