Role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Video Editor/Content Producer to support the Games Institute in creating high-quality video content to support our recruitment and reputation efforts. The successful candidate will play a key role in documenting and promoting our key events, such as "Let’s Talk Games," the UKIE conference, and our annual Christmas Lectures. Additionally, the role will involve producing engaging showreels showcasing student work and achievements and supporting our social media output. This position will be a fantastic opportunity for a media student to gain hands-on experience in content creation while contributing to the visibility and success of the Games Institute.
Duties and responsibilities
The successful candidates will be:
• Film, edit, and produce videos for key events, including "Let’s Talk Games," the UKIE conference, and Christmas Lectures.
• Create dynamic and professional showreels of student work for promotional purposes.
• Collaborate with the Games Department to plan and execute video content projects.
• Ensure all video content aligns with the department’s brand and messaging.
• Manage video storage and archiving for easy access and future use.
• Work within agreed deadlines to deliver high-quality content.
• Stay updated on new techniques and trends in video production to enhance outputs.
Skills and experience
Must be a current student with good attendance and a high quality portfolio for your application to be considered for the role.
