Role
Our client based in is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our team on a part-time basis. They specialise in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, offering a professional and personalised service to patients. This role is an exciting opportunity for an autonomous practitioner who is passionate about delivering evidence-based care and contributing to the continued development of the clinic.
Duties and responsibilities
Clinical Care:
- Provide thorough assessments, clinically reasoned diagnoses, and efficient, evidence-based treatment plans to a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries, joint pain, back and neck pain, post-operative rehabilitation, and tendinopathies.
- Act independently to plan, implement, evaluate, and progress patient care, ensuring the best possible rehabilitation outcomes.
- Manage a personal caseload of simple and complex cases effectively and efficiently.
- Engage with patients face-to-face, over the phone, and via email, maintaining a friendly and professional environment.
- Educate patients clearly on their condition, treatment plan, and rehabilitation process.
- Ensure all communications are thoroughly recorded in the patient's electronic notes (TM3), maintaining contemporaneous and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues, working alongside them to maintain high standards of care and clinic efficiency.
- Participate in regular team meetings, sharing ideas, techniques, and clinical critiques to enhance clinical practices.
- Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members or associates as needed.
- Maintain and document CPD activities, including attending courses, reading relevant literature, and engaging in reflective practice.
- Continuously develop clinical skills, knowledge, and reasoning through self-study and collaboration with colleagues.
- Actively participate in in-service training and performance review systems to promote personal and clinic development.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with CSP/Physio First standards and RJB Physiotherapy’s discharge policies.
- Liaise with insurance companies, ensuring timely submission of paperwork.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the clinic by performing reasonable non-clinical duties, including housekeeping and ensuring familiarity with clinic equipment.
Skills and experience
- Chartered Physiotherapist, registered with the CSP and HCPC.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
- Excellent manual therapy skills and comprehensive knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
- A passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
