LFC is working with LJMU and UniTemps to provide an opportunity for students to take advantage of the Discovery Internships Programme through a short-term placement within the LFC Retail E-Commerce department.
The placement will be working with the Retail E-Commerce team who are based in Liverpool. The team is responsible for delivering a continually improving, best-in-class shopping experience for fans and customers globally. With a focus of ensuring that store.liverpoolfc.com, Store Apps (Android & iOS) meet the needs of both Club and customer by observing behaviour and trends, testing and learning.
Duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying Growth Opportunities for E-Commerce Retail
- Conduct strategic research on a variety of e-commerce brands to inform growth strategies and business solutions.
- Assist the team in analysing broader market trends that affect brand investments and e-commerce performance.
- Research competitor e-commerce platforms, including their marketing tactics and positioning, to build a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Investigate dropshipping models and their potential impact on operational efficiency and product offerings.
- Support the team in expanding user research initiatives, identifying target demographics, and gathering insights to enhance customer experience and engagement.

Skills and experience
Requirements, Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge of and interest in sports marketing.
- An educational background in marketing, technology, business administration or economics would be desirable.
- Computer literate and highly proficient in MS Office software, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dynamic and able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.
- Can work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.
- Has a 'can do' approach and works to exceed expectations.
