LFC is working with LJMU and UniTemps to provide an opportunity for LJMU students to take advantage of the Discovery Internships Programme through a short-term placement within the LFC Partnerships department.

 

The placement will be working with the Partnership Solutions team who are based in Liverpool and London.  The team is responsible for building the narrative for why a brand should partner with the Club and articulating the benefits that they would receive as an Official Partner. 

Duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct strategic research into a range of brands to help inform LFC’s solutions.
  • Assist the team in understanding wider marketing trends that impact upon a brands investment.
  • Deep dive into specific brands marketing and activation strategies to help inform a proposal.
  • Research into other football Clubs / Sports Teams / League’s to build a strategic picture of how LFC’s competitors are positioning themselves within the sponsorship market.
  • Support the Solutions team in progression against project areas, to include but not limited to LFC Women’s Team Proposition, B2B opportunities, development of The Red Way.

Skills and experience

Requirements, Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of and interest in sports marketing.
  • An educational background in marketing would be desirable.
  • Computer literate and highly proficient in MS Office software, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Dynamic and able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.
  • Can work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.
  • Has a 'can do' approach and works to exceed expectations.
