LFC is working with LJMU and UniTemps to provide an opportunity for Year 2 and 3 LJMU students to take advantage of the Discovery Internships Programme through a short-term placement within the LFC Finance – FP&A team.

The placement will be working with the FP&A team who are based in Liverpool.  The team is responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis across the Club, supporting all areas of the business with their budgets, forecasts, business cases & analysis.

Duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Supporting with financial analysis and data insights for the Commercial FP&A team to meet key deliverables with a commitment to timely and accurate provision of financial information.
  • Support with data preparation for the annual budget process
  • Analyse complex data sets to provide insights, trends and recommendations
  • Support the FP&A team as a whole to continue to look for best practice, new ways of working and continuous improvement.

  • Director, FP&A
  • Associate, FP&A
  • Commercial Budget Holders

Skills and experience

Requirements, Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of and interest in Accounting & Finance.
  • An educational background in Accounting, Finance, Business Studies or related field be desirable.
  • Computer literate and highly proficient in MS Office software, specifically Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret complex data and form rational, structured insights.
  • Can work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.
  • Has a 'can do' approach and works to exceed expectations.
