LFC is working with LJMU and UniTemps to provide an opportunity for LJMU students to take advantage of the Discovery Internships Programme through a short-term placement within the LFC Stadium Safety Team.

The placement will be working with the Safety team who are based in Liverpool at Anfield Stadium.  The team is responsible for Matchday Spectator Safety at all events held at the stadium including football matches and music events.

 

Duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct strategic research into how the team documents and records key preparatory actions, incidents and decisions during operations to provide an accurate audit trail.
  • Deep dive into the systems and processes to inform a proposal on how the Club ensures accurate records.
  • Research into other football Clubs / Sports Teams / League’s to build a strategic picture of how LFC’s competitors approach the issue
  • Support the Safety Team team to create a plan to deliver the strategic/systemic approach to ensuring accurate records and audit trail.

  • Director, Safety and Security
  • Senior Manager, Health and Safety
  • External Consultant – Raven Controls

Skills and experience

Requirements, Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of and interest in Event Management and Safety.
  • An educational background in Event Management would be desirable.
  • Computer literate and highly proficient in MS Office software, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to interpret complex information and form rational, structure proposals.
  • Can work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.
  • Has a 'can do' approach and works to exceed expectations.
