LFC is working with LJMU and UniTemps to provide an opportunity for LJMU students to take advantage of the Discovery Internships Programme through a short-term placement within the LFC Brand Protection & Investigations Team.

The placement will be working with the Brand Protection & Investigations Team who are based in Liverpool.  The team is responsible for enhancing and protecting the Clubs intellectual property, whilst also having responsibility for investigations relating to the Clubs Official Sanctions Process.

Duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the Brand Protection team in investigating infringements of Club intellectual property.
  • Support the Senior Specialist, Brand Protection with investigating and enforcing against third-parties who are infringing Liverpool FC intellectual property.
  • Support the Investigations team with casework as it relates to offences that are investigated in line with the Liverpool FC Official Sanctions Process.
  • Support the Senior Specialist, Investigations and the Manager, Ticket Investigations in preparing cases that may be used in criminal or civil matters.

Skills and experience

Requirements, Qualifications & Skills:

  • Knowledge of and interest of Intellectual Property law
  • An educational background in Law or Intellectual Property would be desirable.
  • Computer literate and highly proficient in MS Office software, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to interpret and analyse sometimes complex information and have the ability to present this information to wider teams
  • Can work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.
  • Has a 'can do' approach and works to exceed expectations.
