LFC is working with Liverpool John Moores University to provide an opportunity for Level 5 LJMU Students to take advantage of the Discovery Internships Programme through a short-term placement within the club’s Impact Team who are based in Liverpool.
The team are responsible for leading the club’s holistic approach to sustainability through The Red Way; Liverpool Football Club’s commitment to build a better future for its people, planet and communities.
The key piece of work for this placement will be focussing on the club’s ‘People’ pillar which encompasses all their work around equality, diversity and inclusion as part of Red Together. The focus will be to assist stakeholders across the club to develop inclusion across departments, support and deliver against key objectives on the Red Together strategy and help develop resources that assist stakeholders on all thing’s equality, diversity and inclusion.
Duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with and support the club’s Impact Team to deliver against the objectives of the club’s The Red Way strategy.
- Support and deliver against the club’s aim to produce one piece of related sustainability focused research per year, with the intention of this being published externally.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across the business.
Key Stakeholders:
- Impact Team - Director, Impact and Manager, Impact
- Wider club functions across People and Culture, Legal, Stadium Operations, Partnerships and any relevant third-party stakeholders
Skills and experience
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in equality, diversity and inclusion and research related to this topic.
- Understanding of the wider equality and diversity landscape.
- Knowledge on equality, diversity and inclusion related issues and topics.
- Ability to work closely with club and third-party stakeholders in an effective manner.
- Computer literate and highly proficient in MS Office software, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dynamic and able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.
- Can work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.
- Methodical approach to work, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
