Description
Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic 3D generalist game artist at the University of Staffordshire.
This role is part of a 4-month project focused on prototyping games that will feed into our 1up summer placement scheme. You will be working 8 hours per week with the team. The aim is to create industry-ready titles that will be used at events like UCAS fairs to showcase the university's capabilities in game development.
You must be a current student for your application to be accepted for this role.
Duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will be:
• Collaborate with a team to develop commercial game titles.
• Dedicate 8 hours per week to refining and enhancing art assets.
• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss project progress, overcome challenges, and brainstorm innovative game mechanics.
• Work closely with mentors from the University of Staffordshire to polish games that will be used for student recruitment and other promotional activities.
• Ensure that games are ready for commercial delivery by the end of the placement.
Skills and experience
Experience with 3D game art creation, proficiency in relevant software.

University of Staffordshire Stoke campus / Hybrid
Additional information
You must be a current student with a high-quality online portfolio, and good attendance for your application to be accepted.
The role is open to Home Fees students who have completed Level 5 and are eligible for a placement within their course.
