Role

Our client based at the Innovation Centre in Warwick are looking for a candidate to work as part of the team as a Junior Software Developer

You will be working 40 hours per week and this is a hybrid based role (Expected 2 days per week in the office). The pay starts at £12.21 per hour (based on experience). We are looking for someone originally in the short term 6-8 Weeks with the possibility of extension

Duties and responsibilities
The company have created a software in house that they are looking to sell (Software as a service, SaaS). We are looking for someone to keep developing this product.

You will be tasked with
  • Front-End development of the system using various languages such as React.js & Chakra UI to help create the design.
  • Back-End development to ensure that the servers are able to integrate with the front end.
  • Being involved in writing and testing of Code. This will include debugging.
  • Getting involved in future planning and spotting elements where the product can be improved.
There is the opportunity for continued development and you will be expected to stay up to date with technology that may help the product to be improved.

Skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has experience of Software Development.

You will likely hold a degree in Computer science but work experience is as important.
You will have an understanding of Javascript/Typescript as well as strong experience with React.js.
You will be confident to work on both Front End & Back End products

This is a hybrid working role and for the right candidate there is potential to extend beyond the 6 weeks to 8 week time frame that is currently expected.

Additional information

The salary for the role is £25,400 (£12.21 per hour based on 40 hour week). 

We are looking for someone to work for 6-8 weeks in order to help the business.
