Role

Duties and responsibilities
• Lead and organise weekly midday drop-in badminton sessions at the LJMU Sport building.
•Committed to increasing participation within badminton across student and staff populations.
• Responsible for creating and promoting a fun, social and welcoming environment in the sessions.
• Supervise the use of badminton equipment, ensuring user safety during sessions.
•Responsible for reporting issues and equipment inventory to Sport Participation Officer.
• Record the number of attendees for each session and report back to the Sport Participation Officer every Wednesday.
• Location: LJMU Sport Building.
Skills and experience
• Interest in, and enthusiasm for badminton.
• Enthusiasm towards developing participation within badminton.
• A commitment to LJMU’s values and regulations and Equality and Diversity Policy.
• Commitment to adhere to and promote the ethos of Respect Always as set out in the Respect Always Charter.
• Confidence in organising groups of people throughout the session.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers.
• The ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation, and the ability to exercise these in the workplace.
