Role
Duties and responsibilities
The primary focus of this role is to help create written and visual content to be used across marketing platforms and social media. The ambassadors will have their own buddy accounts on Unibuddy in which prospective students can ask them questions about the university, the degree they're studying, accommodation, or additional facilities/activities. The ambassador should be able to communicate effectively and in a positive way to promote the university to prospective students, whilst answering these one-to-one chat queries through the app.
The ambassador will also contribute to the universities Student Room account. Here, the post holder will write short blog posts, comment on trending posts, and respond to any questions/queries about the university. The ambassadors will be proactive in creating short-form video/reel-styled content, to be used across these platforms and it is preferred that the post holder is comfortable on camera, and that they have experience in filming and editing their own footage to a high-quality standard.
Skills and experience
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with Marketing professionals and manage workload.
- Produce engaging user-generated written and visual content for our digital channels.
- Act as a brand champion for the university, and through The Student Room, Unibuddy and Personalised Virtual Experience
- Represent and promote the university and our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
- Good background knowledge of our social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X & TikTok.
- Be comfortable on camera.
- Be able to film and edit videos to a high-quality standard.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time, but also collaborate with other ambassadors and the wider marketing team to come up with creative and engaging content and marketing ideas.
