Description

Role

Our prestigious client are looking for a Data Analyst to start work in December 2024 until March 2025.

Full time hours are available but if the successful candidate could only work four days a week, this is something the company would consider.

Duties and responsibilities

As part of the LSIP, we are looking to bring in someone to support our data review and forecasting efforts. A clear plan will be in place for this role, but the key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing data on priority sectors.
  • Supporting the development of a new survey to ensure data collection can effectively demonstrate progression from previously gathered information.
  • Researching and assessing data approaches in other LSIP areas to identify relevant practices for Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire.
  • Examining national and local apprenticeship data and forecasts.
  • Analysing Quarterly Economic Review data to identify patterns in local sector growth.
  • Objectively assessing the process of seeking apprenticeship and training support locally.
  • Reviewing data on NEETs and SEND for the area, identifying specialist ITPs that could offer support and whether they are included in the current SPN network.
  • Reviewing data from working groups to highlight cross-cutting themes.

Skills and experience

We are seeking an ideal candidate who can work with us over the next 3–4 months (with funding available until March 2025). The individual should be:

  • Self-managing in terms of time and structure (there will be no daily supervision, but support will be available for task and project discussions).
  • Skilled in reviewing both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Able to support data collection processes and effectively review collected information.
  • Willing to attend focus groups and capable of engaging with stakeholders on key topic areas.
  • Ideally qualified at the postgraduate level.
