Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.

The Jamie Simpson Trust is a charity which was set up to support young people.

The mission of The Jamie Simpson Trust's Forward Vision 12-week Life Skills programme is to inspire and empower young people between the ages of 8 and 18 by providing accessible and inclusive learning opportunities that facilitate skill development, enabling them to tap into their creativity and prepare for future employment. Whilst we cannot change their environment, we hope to give them the skills that encourage them to take every opportunity that comes their way.

We are looking for someone who can support us with administration.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Good record keeping and documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate records. Databases and files (e.g., volunteer records, client information and financial document).
  • Ensuring that documents are properly archived, accessible, and meet legal requirement.
  • Managing calendars, including scheduling meetings, appointments and events.
  • Preparing agendas.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for inquiries.
  • Assisting with budgeting, financial reporting, and tracking expenses.
  • Handling invoices, processing payments, and managing petty cash.
  • Ensuring compliance with the charities policies, health and safety standards.
  • Preparing reports and summaries for the charity on key administrative activities or projects.
  • Assisting with special projects by organizing information, tracking progress and ensuring deadlines are met

Skills and experience

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with the team and stakeholders.
  • Good time management and organizational skill.
  • Attention to details to ensure accuracy in tasks such as record-keeping or financial reporting.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office Windows, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
