Description

Role
The work to be completed is for the Learning, Teaching and Enhancement (LTE) and UK Partnerships and Apprenticeships Unit (UKPAU) areas at the University. The University works with a number of large private colleges who franchise our courses and use our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) BLackboard. The postholder will be working on the set up of Blackboards for one of the largest of these private colleges, with support from both colleagues in LTE and UKPAU. The postholder will receive line management from UKPAU and technical support, where needed, from LTE.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Renaming of module Blackboards (BBs) to conform to partner college’s naming preference. 

2. Copying of learning materials and other content from a 'source' module Blackboard to the corresponding partners module BBs, separating any 'assessment' related content which should be copied to the corresponding partners 'assessment' module BBs. 
3.  Ensure any module handbooks are correctly dated and if missing/incorrect, highlight to relevant person(s). 
4. Check 'core' content is accessible.
5. Copy BB Tests from a 'source' module to the corresponding partners 'assessments' BBs. 
6. Create Turnitin Assignments which include attaching the Rubric. 
7. Enrol partner staff as either Instructors or Markers on their respective Master and Assessment BBs.

Skills and experience
The postholder will be a competent user of  Excel, Word, Email, and will have a GCSE Grade 4 / Level 2 functional skills in both Maths and English. The postholder will be comfortable working with (i) repetition of task, (ii) high levels of accuracy and (iii)  tight timelines. Experience of working in a higher education setting and of Blackboard would be advantageous.
