Role

Innervate is the Schools online journal of undergraduate work and the School is looking for help with editing the 23-24 submissions.

Start Date: 2nd December 2024
End Date: 28th February 2025
Working Hours: 20 hours in total to be worked between 2nd December 2024 and 28th February 2025
Pay Rate: £16.65 per hour
Holiday Pay: £2.01 per hour
Location: Remote
Interview Date: Week commencing 11th November 2024

Duties and responsibilities

The duties will include:

  • Updating spreadsheets of student names, module codes, assessment titles and contact details to track correspondence to students.
  • Contacting the relevant students and give them the chance to incorporate any feedback from markers/correct typos/update etc. and re-submit their work for inclusion in the journal.
  • Formatting assessments using preformatted header and following the template.
  • Create one single journal for all submissions, noting page numbering, as well as individual documents with matching page numbering for uploading onto webpage.

Skills and experience
Skills and experience required for the role:

  • Must be studying for an MA or PhD in the School of English.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • An excellent eye for detail.
  • Accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent IT skills including: Experience formatting word documents and record keeping using excel spreadsheets.
  • Applicants should also have excellent organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with research paper formatting.

Location
Remote - All Unitemps work must be completed whilst you are physically located within the UK.
