Project Manager

This position is ideal for an individual who possesses a strong sense of proactivity and organisation skills, with experience managing tasks and people. The role involves project managing a project funded by the LJMU Diversity and Inclusion Team. The project involves the creation of a digital micro learning (DML) course with a digital micro credential (DMC) (aka digital badge) focusing on cultural competency in academia.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and coordinating project activities.
• Monitor project progress and report on milestones.
• Communicate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Help manage project documentation and records.
• Support the project co-leads in day-to-day tasks and decision-making.

Skills and experience
Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled on a LJMU degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. 
 
Skills and Abilities:
• Project Management Skills: basic understanding of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Communication Skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, faculty, and stakeholders.
• Organisational Skills: strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Problem-Solving Skills: ability to identify issues, analyse problems, and develop effective solutions.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana).
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team goals. 
 
Experience:
• Previous experience in project management or related roles (e.g., team leader, coordinator) is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working on academic projects or in a university setting is a plus.
