Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a friendly, family run business, helping children across the Midlands region and beyond to make music as whole classes, in a fun and enjoyable way. Since the business was formed in 2013, they have had the pleasure of helping over 25,000 primary school children achieve music qualifications.Their schemes of work cover the entire National Curriculum for Music, so this a perfect role for anyone hoping to develop a career in music and teaching. The post is subject to references and a DBS check .Candidates will be required to observe a lesson before formally applying for the role.

Part time and full time hours are available. The suitable applicant must have a drivers license and have access to a car as traveling is required for this position. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be delivering whole class music lessons in primary schools. These lessons will take the form of instrumental lessons, with every child taking part, learning practical skills in an inspiring and focused manner.
  • A working knowledge of rhythm section instruments is of benefit, as instruments used include keyboards, steel drums, drum kit and ukuleles. 
  • All equipment and resources are provided at no cost to the candidate and training and support is offered and in place at all times.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience of delivering sessions
  • Organisational skills
  • Access to a car is essential

Schools are Midlands based, but try and place our team in local schools to their home whenever possible.
