THE ROLE

On behalf of our Leicester Client – DSU at DMU; we are seeking to recruit a Student Content Creator to join the DSU Team and help them make this year's Freshers Week unforgettable! 

Are you a creative student with a knack for capturing moments and creating engaging content? Join the DSU team as a Student Content Creator and be at the heart of the excitement during Freshers Week! 

This role is perfect for those looking to build their portfolio while contributing to the buzz of Welcome Festival.

The role is only open to DMU Students to apply.

  • Expected start date: 1/09/2024
  • Expected end date: 6/10/2024
  • You must be available for the Welcome Festival (21st September - 6th October)
  • Expected interview date: TBC
  • Rate of pay: £11.44
  • Holiday Pay: £1.38

Please note: there is potential extension in this role! The initial contract is for the Welcome Festival (21st September - 6th October), with the possibility of continuation for the 2024/25 academic year based on performance and organisational needs.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ambassador Role: Represent De Montfort Students' Union by capturing and sharing the energy of our Welcome Festival events.
  • Shift Availability: Must be available for a minimum of 10 Welcome Festival evening events between 21st September and 6th October.
  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality content, including photos and reels, to promote Welcome Festival events. A minimum of 20 photos and 1 reel is required for each event you attend.

Skills and experience

What We're Looking For:

  • If you're passionate about content creation and have an eye for what’s trending, DSU want you on their team! While having a strong social media following is a plus, your creativity and enthusiasm are what count the most.

Desirable Skills:

  • A minimum of 5,000 followers on TikTok or Instagram (desired but not essential).Demonstrable understanding of trends and expertise in digital content creation.
  • Confident and outgoing personality, comfortable creating content in busy event environments.

•    This role is only open to DMU Students to apply.

•    This role is to work during the days of 1/9/24 and 6/10/2024; therefore, you must be available for set shifts during Freshers Week (18th September to 24th September).
