THE ROLE
On behalf of our Leicester Client – DSU at DMU; we are seeking to recruit a Student Events Promoter to join the DSU Team and help them make this year's Freshers Week unforgettable! This is an exciting opportunity to earn while having fun and building valuable skills in event promotion.
This role is only open to DMU Students to apply.
Are you an outgoing, energetic student with a passion for events? We are looking for a candidate who has experience in event planning, execution, and event promotion is desirable, it's not essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm and ability to engage with others.

- This role is to work during the days of 1/9/24 and 6/10/2024; you must be available for set shifts during Freshers Week (18th September to 24th September).

- Rate of pay: £11.44
- Holiday Pay: £1.38
Duties and responsibilities
- Ambassador Role: Represent De Montfort Students' Union with pride, promoting our events and activities to your peers.
- Shift Availability: Must be available for set shifts during Freshers Week (18th September to 24th September).
- Sales & Promotion: Drive ticket sales and event participation through on-campus and online promotion.
- Engagement: Interact with students, answer queries, and encourage participation in events.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in event planning, execution, or promotion is desirable, it's not essential.
- Excellent enthusiasm, confidence and ability to engage with others
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in event promotion or planning.
- A friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills.
