Unitemps are specifically looking to recruit 2 x workshop assistants from Level 6 Fine Art.
The role of the assistant will be to support the workshop lead in delivering a variety of Art and Design workshops to a small group of students. The workshops will be delivered to a group of 10 Foundation Year students, and a group of 10 Level 4 Fine Art students. There will be 16 workshops in total covering areas within collage, print and drawing.
Workshops will run twice per week (Wednesday afternoon and Friday morning).
Duties and responsibilities
This call out is for two positions, meaning one assistant will take the Wednesday session, and one will take the Friday session. Occasionally, there will be 2 workshops on a Friday (AM and PM)
The assistant will be expected to help to set up workshops and support in providing demonstrations to the group. No previous experience required.
Reason: the client has received Revive Funding from the University to run a series of workshops for students who struggle to integrate and engage within a large classroom setting. This will allow them the opportunity to run workshops with smaller groups and allow them to build relationships and gain skills in a quieter, more comfortable setting.
I would like to employ 2 level 6 fine art students to support me with running these workshops to allow them to develop skills as a workshop assistant and gain experience during their final year of university
