Applications are invited for Careers Ambassador - Instagram

This role will bring the student voice to the Careers and Employability Service's Instagram channel by creating grid posts, reels and stories. The account is: https://www.instagram.com/uoncareers

Start Date:23/09/2024

End Date:27/06/2025

Working Hours: 3.5 hours per week

Location:  University of Nottingham/wfh

Dress Code: smart casual

Duties and responsibilities

Having given a brief from the marketing and communications officer, you will draft a proposal for creating content and methods (grid post, reel or story) to meet the requirements of the brief. Once approved, you will create the content within the agreed timeframe. After the content has been reviewed by the marketing and communications officer and signed off, you will post the content on the channel.

Skills and experience

  • A current undergraduate or postgraduate-taught student.
  • Ability to write engaging copy that is relevant to our target audience
  • Ability to create eye-catching designs including video using Canva
  • An excellent standard of written English
  • Ability to work in a team within the Information & Communications Team
  • Ability to manage your time and achieve given deadlines
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Previous experience using Instagram in a company/voluntary/society setting would be useful, but not essential as training will be provided

Location
Working from home but with the option to work in the office at Portland Building if preferred
