Description

Role
This role will support the delivery of an internal UoN SDG project to assess the feasibility of electrochemical 3D printing of Al micro parts from scrap and process data to characterise printing performance.

 
Start Date: 8th July 2024 or as soon as possible
End Date: 6th September 2024
Working Hours: 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm
Location:Advanced Manufacturing Building, Jubilee Campus

Duties and responsibilities

  • The candidate will be expected to operate an electro chemical manufacturing platform located in the Advanced Manufacturing Building
  • Full training and a health and safety induction will be provided
  • Process data to assess defect formation and propagation from images.

Skills and experience

  • The candidate must have a background in mechanical engineering with experience in data handling methods.
