Description

Role
Responsible for achieving the academy’s admissions targets by providing strategic marketing to develop and implement marketing/recruitment activities/strategies to continuously improve and drive good levels of student recruitment and engagement. Responsible for a small team, you will have overall responsibility for all marketing activity across the Group, you will ensure the admissions and appeals process is efficient and effective.

 
This is a full time permanent role

Duties and responsibilities

Admissions

  • To work with the Principals and CEO on the annual recruitment strategy and implementation of that plan.
  • Fully evaluate the admission lead funnel to improve conversion at each stage addressing areas for improvement.
  • Motivate and drive the admissions team, to ensure a high standard of service to parents and efficient and diligent management of the admissions and appeal processes;
  • Setting and monitoring key performance indicators relating to the management of both enquiries and admissions.
  • Take a data-led approach, using all available performance data to evaluate and make recommendations for improvement in processes.
  • Manage the Group Admissions & Appeals service and to ensure the successful completion of the annual Admissions Round.
  • External liaison with schools in all matters pertaining to student recruitment.
  • Lead the development of a parent engagement strategy that helps to support student retention.
  • Run regular parent satisfaction surveys to gauge parent perceptions and provide feedback to all families about results and actions. Ensure regular and proactive communication with parents via the most effective channels.
  • To oversee and report on all research activity (including parent and leaver surveys).
  • Prepare and update the Admissions policy and ensure statutory compliance and consultation.
  • Oversee the registration of student applications and the maintenance of all admission and appeals processes.
  • Oversee acquisition of student information from parent/carers, students, and schools.
  • Support to the academies and preparation of the aptitude workshops

Marketing

Develop and implement a marketing strategy, working with the principals, to achieve overall admission objectives and to ensure consistency across the group. The strategy will increase and maintain healthy marketing activities to “keep applicants warm” to continuously improve the rates of ‘application to through the door’ and ‘acceptance to through the door’. You will ensure the strategy continues to build on the group’s strong reputation locally and regionally; projecting its core values, strengths and successes in effective ways.

  • Inspire and develop the marketing team members to plan, deliver and execute the marketing strategy to the agreed budget with focus on lead generation and optimisation. To manage a calendar of marketing activities to support and fulfil the plan
  • Ensure awareness of the academies is high through effective use of social media, the website, and other relevant mediums.
  • Constantly review the market and identify new trends and competitors that might impact performance.
  • Act as brand guardian and ensure that all materials produced are consistent with the brand. • Planning and managing launch and open event activities.
  • Provide advice, guidance and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team as well as regular updates (including against KPIs) on marketing trends, strategies and activities to the Principals, CEO and Board.
  • To ensure the pupil recruitment targets are maximised and a first-rate customer experience is provided

Skills and experience

  • Educated to degree level
  • Have working Knowledge and understanding of the English National Curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Experience in developing and delivering strategic, multi-channel marketing strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Experience in managing the lead process to maximise conversion at each stage of the lead funnel.
  • Experience across the full marketing mix including digital.
  • Familiarity with management information systems, websites and social media. High level of ICT competency.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Proficiency in digital communications and traditional media.
  • Graphic Design Skills / Experience in advertising content writing.
  • Fluent in customer-data analysis and how to translate that into effective communications.
  • Experience of working to competing deadlines and adherence to the same
