The Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies research agenda is themed around a number of dynamic research clusters which reflect the primary and secondary interests of our staff. Our research clusters enable us to engage in the co-creation of knowledge alongside industry stakeholders. We do this by addressing contemporary issues within policing and broader human security domains. In addition to this, our research initiatives and aspirations enable us to play a strong role in the Research Exercise Framework. We are looking for a Research Assistant to work with our team on a collaborative project with a UK police force examining missing people. The project is led by Dr Freya O'Brien (research expert in missing people).

Duties and responsibilities

The Research Assistant will be involved in conducting, transcribing, and analysing interviews with practitioners

Skills and experience
Essential: Undergraduate degree in related discipline (e.g., Psychology, Criminology, Policing, Criminal Justice, Public Health). Essential: Experience of conducting semi-structured interviews with practitioners. Desired: Experience of carrying out thematic analysis.
