Role
Hospitality Services operates the main outlets on the Edinburgh campus including Central, Cafe Brio and Elements, as well as offer banqueting services for large on-campus events.  Open throughout the year with at least one outlet open 5 days a week, changing with the seasons and the academic year. 

Hospitality Services are looking to recruit a team of student Food and Beverage Assistants to assist throughout the busy Summer months. During the Summer Heriot-Watt University hosts over 1000 young international students who require hospitality services throughout the morning, afternoon and evening, 7 days a week. 
 
This is a busy and energetic role that would suit a student keen to work as part of a dynamic team. 
 
We are looking for students to work either full-time(up to 35 hours. Any days, Monday to Sunday) or part-time (up to 20/25 hours. Any days, Monday to Sunday). Please make it clear in your cover letter if you are applying for full-time or part-time hours. 
 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner. 
  • Keep all work areas to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Ensure health and safety advice is followed.
  • Communicate well with other members of the catering team.
  • Flexible with shifts, including evening and weekends.

Skills and experience
No minimum level of qualification or experience but a good worth ethic is essential.

Attain Food Hygiene Certificate.
Students must supply their own black shirt, black full length trousers and black non-slip shoes.
