Role

We are looking for an intern who has knowledge of LJMU Psychology programmes (through being a current/previous psychology student) to assist us in reviewing undergraduate psychology students' perceptions of career development and experience of an employability module through conducting research.  This research would include recruiting participants and using qualitative methods, such as focus groups or interviews, and contributing to an evaluation on the effectiveness of an employability  module for supporting psychology students' career readiness and an understanding of their potential. This paid internship will be 60 hours in duration and is aimed to support Student Futures and the School of Psychology to enhance their provision for Psychology students, in terms of their career development and preparedness for the future.

Duties and responsibilities
- To co-develop a short research project to gain understanding of psychology students perceptions of career readiness and the effectiveness of an  employability module (including designing focus group/interview questions, recruiting participants, collecting data and conducting data analysis).

- To co-create a short report on findings and to produce a list of recommendations.
- To work with internship supervisors (Student Futures Faculty Employability Lead and School of Psychology Senior Lecturer ) to identify next steps to building psychology students career readiness 

Skills and experience

We are looking for students who:

- are current/ previous student on  LJMU Psychology programmes

- can demonstrate the ability to complete a qualitative research project

 - have a willingness to enhance the employability of Psychology students, through the analysis of existing activities

- possess an ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
