Role

Unitemps are recruiting for 6 UCL Student Champion roles for the VPEE. This role is for an early June start date and has a projected end date of March 2025. This a part-time role; 11.5 hours in total, spread across 5 tasks within those 9 months. Payment is set at £13.15 + holiday pay per hour. This role will be UCL campus based. This role is suitable for UCL Post Graduate Students only.

Be the face and voice of UCL! Unitemps are recruiting for graduate students to be UCL Student Champions within the Vice President External Engagement department. 

The role is to attend a photoshoot in Hackney, east London in early June 2024, and provide written content and take part in video content throughout the year. Payment is set at LLW and will be in total for 11.5 hours of work spread across June 2024 to March 2025, example schedule per the below:

  • Photoshoot and video: 3.5 hours (2 hours with photographer, 1.5 hour with student content creator.)
  • 7 Questions Article: 1 hour (This will be shared on LinkedIn and the student will be tagged.)
  • Other content: 6 hours (Either written or filmed depending on what's required. Topics could include UCL East, Day in the life, Accommodation, Career sessions, networking events, studying in London.)
  • Graduation video: 1 hour (Working jointly with student content creators.)

Duties and responsibilities

You must be a current UCL postgraduate student to apply. As a UCL Student Champion you will bring the UCL student experience to life by create engaging, entertaining, and informative content about your life at the university and in London. This will include but may not be limited to: 

  • A photoshoot in east London in early June. Exact date TBC
  • Create written piece/s about your studies and experience at UCL  
  • Take part in multiple video collaborations with our student content creators at key points, such as the photoshoot, your graduation, or themes such as A Day in the Life of, or Campus tours
  • Testimonials about your course, living in London, UCL, amongst others
  • Potential content about the job/placement search process after you have completed your studies   
  • If you are interested in exploring other content formats, we would be open to hearing your ideas and suggestions
  • International students will be required to work hours in line with their student visa if relevant.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt your approach depending on the content format

Additional information
