Role
An established café and restaurant in Leamington Spa have gone through a recent rebrand and are looking for a new Assistant Chef to work alongside the Head Chef.They are a small and close knit team who work hard and have a good time while they do it.The role includes helping to develop a new contemporary and impressive menu of both Italian and Mediterranean style dishes, helping with daily service and further opportunities to work at pop up events in the summer.This is a perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to start a career in the culinary arts or if you have a few years under your belt already that is even better. Full training will be provided from the Head Chef.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist the head chef with all service.
- Developing a new Italian and Mediterranean menu.
- Regularly rotating stock.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness.
- Working under pressure
Skills and experience
- Level 2 NVQ Food Qualification (can be provided if not)
- Previous kitchen experience (Desired)
- A passion for food
- Excellent Work
- Ethic Time management skills
- Works well under pressure.

Additional information
The new restaurant will seat around 80 people. Experience is desired but not essential. If you are at entry level this would be a great place to gain the required skills for a career as a Chef. If you have experience, more responsibility may be given as well as a higher starting salary.
