Description

Role

Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.

You can read more about ResPeo here: www.respeo.com

We provide research, evaluation and facilitation services predominantly to public sector and charity health and social care clients.

The purpose of the role is to work across our projects to support client deliverables, along with providing task assistance to the Director.

We are a warm and welcoming team. We work flexibly, welcome being challenged, and learning about how to keep improving how we work.

The role may suit someone who would be keen to conduct research and evaluation commercially and/or with a keen interest in health and social care programmes. However, those with impeccable organisation skills, who have an eye for creating visually appealing outputs, as well as for marketing, will also likely be a good match.

We are a small organisation, so we all chip in across projects to support one another. We all have different needs to attain a work/life balance and stay healthy and do our best to be adaptable to those needs in the way we operate. We all work part time.

CLOSING DATE:  01/05/24 Please note that the role may close early to applications – apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Duties and responsibilities

Each working day at ResPeo is different. Our work is project based and the project assistant will be expected to provide additional capacity to project teams, working with colleagues.

Typical tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Gathering and analysing data e.g. through participant interviews.
  • Contributing to writing narrative and/or slide deck reports of evaluation findings for ResPeo’s clients
  • Meeting typically online with internal project teams to progress deliverables
  • Meeting typically online with clients to progress deliverables
  • Meeting typically online with the whole team to check in and plan ahead
  • Helping to develop proposals for new work
  • Minuting meetings
  • Organising online project files
  • Supporting the director with a range of administrative tasks such as emails, business development, financials
  • Infographic development, social media marketing, website updates, newsletter writing.

The project assistant would only be expected to undertake tasks that they feasibly have the capacity for within their allocated hours

Skills and experience

  • Qualitative and quantitative research methods knowledge at Master’s level preferred, ideally in the social sciences.
  • An enjoyment of working with data, contributing to narrative report writing and slide decks for our clients, and creating engaging infographic outputs. It is absolutely fine if the project assistant only has experience of this through their studies.
  • Good organisation and administrative skills.
  • Good at conveying complex information and at communicating with colleagues and clients.
  • Adaptability and desire to work across varied tasks within short (but realistic) timeframes.
  • Openness to being asked to do different things throughout the week by a range of colleagues, along with an assertiveness to say when they do not have the capacity for undertaking tasks.
  • Happy to occasionally travel to different parts of the UK to meet clients and conduct research.
  • Ability to contribute to online meetings both internally and externally with clients.
  • Comfortable with a range of software, and willing to learn to use new tools such as data analytical software.
  • We are open to hearing from applicants who do not have all these skills, but are curious about developing them with us. We also particularly welcome applications from those who wish to return to the workforce after a hiatus, and those who have caring responsibilities.

Location
Nottingham (WFH, Grantham and funded travel to client locations)

We have a staff social at least once a year. Most staff members receive funding to attend a relevant conference once a year (on a case by case basis).
