Role
The summer internship project aims to enhance the educational experience in engineering and automation technology at Middlesex University by leveraging the Festo Cyber Physical Lab. The intern will focus on developing comprehensive documentation related to Industry 4.0 topics, aligning with the University's learning framework that encourages student co-leadership in curriculum development.
Duties and responsibilities
- Create detailed documentation on software-related Industry 4.0 topics within the field of engineering and automation technology.
- Actively participate in curriculum design processes, providing a student perspective on the relevance and effectiveness of educational content.
- Develop key concept videos showcasing practical applications of Industry 4.0 concepts using the Festo Cyber Physical Lab.
- Create curated content that aligns with the curriculum, enhancing understanding and application of engineering principles.
- Develop a bank of social media posts highlighting the specialized facilities of Middlesex University's Engineering programs.
- Showcase the unique features of the lab and its contribution to cutting-edge engineering education.
Skills and experience
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering undergraduate or postgraduate program
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
- Experience of report writing
- Knowledge of the literature review process
