Role

The Library, Careers and Enterprise Service are looking to recruit a team of enthusiastic current University of Salford students to become our Library, Careers & Enterprise Skills Ambassadors.

The focus of the roles will be to raise awareness of the Library, Careers and Enterprise Service amongst current students to boost their engagement. You will direct students towards our range of Library Support, such as Academic Skills Workshops, e-learning and one-to-one appointments, as well as our Careers and Enterprise workshops, one-to-one appointments, and events.

You will also be an initial point of contact for all visitors to the Careers Hub in the Lady Hale building, answering questions and dealing with queries from students, staff, alumni, and employers. You will also provide support during events such as Welcome, Careers Fairs and Enterprise Start Up Schools.

As part of your role, you’ll develop a keen understanding of the Library, Careers and Enterprise Service offer and provide information and advice to inspire others and give practical hints and tips about getting started. You’ll provide a personable, relatable service for enquirers to understand what is on offer from the Library and the Careers and Enterprise Service.
