Role

International House London are seeking dedicated staff for their Young Learners camps located in Oxford, Cambridge, London and Frensham for Summer 2024. The positions are all residential with food and accommodation provided. This will be a good opportunity to gain some valuable career and life experience working with young people from around the world. Available vacancies include Activity Leader, House Supervisor, Centre Admin, amongst many more openings. 

International House London is a non-profit-making educational trust committed to raising the standard of English language teaching and training worldwide. All summer programmes are based in outstanding boarding schools or colleges with beautiful grounds and exceptional facilities ideal for multi-national young learners.

Duties and responsibilities

The Summer programme starts at the beginning of July and run for either 4, 5 or 6 weeks depending on the centre.

Programme dates: Start Date: 3rd or 14th July 2024

Oxford July 3rd to August 7th – induction July 1st and 2nd
Frensham July 10th to August 14th – induction July 8th and 9th
Cambridge July 14th to August 11th – induction 12th and 13th
London July 1st to August 11th – induction June 28th 

Duration: between 4 – 6 weeks

Salary: depending on role

Holiday: You are entitled to the equivalent of 5.6 weeks’ paid holiday per holiday year calculated on a pro-rata basis. This includes public holidays in England and Wales.

Skills and experience

  • Degree or pursuing degree.
  • An interest in working with international students
  • Experience leading or supervising sports, tours or craft activities
  • Good knowledge of sports, arts and crafts, student activities
  • Proficient English Speaker
  • Responsible and able to organise their workload
  • Willing to undertake pastoral duties alongside teaching/activity/other supervisory responsibilities

Desirable:

  • First Aid
  • Safeguarding
