Role

The job role is operational, fast moving, can be very demanding, requires initiative and is physically challenging at times.  We offer a variety of excellent work experience opportunities in a highly customer-focused environment. As part of the Conference Operations Team, we cover all aspects of looking after our clients from managing the delegate arrival experience by meeting and greeting at our car parks to assisting with the organisers with whatever requests they may have whilst they are on site using our venues.

 

*Please note, the recruitment evening for this position is on campus 5pm-9pm and you must attend the full 4 hours, please ensure you can commit to this before applying.

Duties and responsibilities

Duties involve setting up meeting rooms and exhibitions across all our Conference Venues, which are Scarman, Radcliffe, The Slate and Central Campus Venues.  Including setting up of audio-visual equipment and working alongside the Conference Organiser to ensure all events runs smoothly whilst they are on site.  There will be occasions where you are asked to work across all areas of work within the team to support the business needs.  This includes working cross venue at which ever area you are required according to business demands, on our car parks at any of our conference venues, or assisting in food and beverage areas.

You will need to have a flexible approach to working and willing to support the team with a variety of different tasks. The experience you can gain from this role will provide you with life skills and valuable work experience which will help in your personal development and future employment prospects.
