Description
Role
To work at a local college based in Farnborough providing safe and secure environment for students , staff and visitors.
Duties and responsibilities
- To regularly patrol all the College premises so as to ensure that the College is a safe and secure environment for Students, Staff and Visitors.
- Work in a control room environment, operating CCTV and be a central control to the security team.
- To respond to any incidents, liaise with both internal and external services and ensure incidents are logged.
- To work in conjunction with other College student support services to deliver the College safeguarding strategy.
- To be a trained First Aider
- To carry out porterage of furniture, goods and equipment as necessary. To work as a team member and be flexible in your approach.
- To carry out other related duties as and when required within the remit of the role
Skills and experience
- SIA licence in security guarding
- Good level of education including GCSE’S, City and Guilds in security and or professional guarding qualification.
- First Aid certificate desirable
- Worked in a variety of Security disciplines.
- Computer literate Ability to produce relevant documents and reports.
- Capable of working under pressure, Well organised, Smart appearance Confidence in dealing with difficult situations and types of people.
