THE ROLE

On behalf of our Leicester Client, we are seeking to recruit a Graduate Internal Recruitment Consultant. 

Are you a dynamic and outgoing individual with a passion for connecting with people?

We are currently seeking a committed Graduate Internal Recruitment Consultant to join our client's team and represent the business in promoting various roles and fostering collaboration with the university. The role will primarily focus on managing day-to-day recruitment activities, particularly focusing attracting, assessing and hiring graduates for the business.

Previous experience in sales/recruitment/administration in an office environment is essential

Rate of pay: £12.50

Holiday Pay: £1.51

This role is a Office based role working either full time as below:

Monday: 08:00am - 16:00pm

Tuesday: 08:00am - 16:00pm

Wednesday: 08:00am - 16:00pm

Thursday: 08:00am - 16:00pm

Friday: 08:00am - 16:00pm

There is flexibility with the above times

The client is welcoming applications from 2nd or 3rd year DMU Student wishes who wish to work part time and who are networked with students already.

Duties and responsibilities

RECRUITMENT DUTIES

  • Source, interview and manage candidates through the recruitment process
  • Manage multiple candidate searches for priority job vacancies
  • Interview and shortlist candidates against current jobs
  • Provide an exceptional, professional service when liaising with candidate job seekers and internal departments
  • You will need to be able to write job descriptions clearly.
CLIENT BRAND PROMOTION AND ENGAGEMENT
  • Brand Promotion: Serve as a enthusiastic brand ambassador for the client, actively promoting available roles and opportunities within the university community.
  • Engagement: Establish and maintain a strong connection between the University and the client, acting as a liaison to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Membership Involvement: Be an active member of sports and societies within the university to better understand the interests and needs of the student community.
  • Drive and Initiative: Demonstrate a proactive and driven attitude towards the role, taking the initiative to explore new opportunities and engage with potential recruits.
  • Sales Focus: The role has a sales-focused aspect, requiring the ability to effectively communicate and persuade individuals about the benefits and opportunities associated with the client.
  • Communication Skills: Showcase strong communication skills by being able to talk confidently, engage effectively, and convey the key messages to a diverse audience.
  • Sport and Outgoing Personality: A passion for sports and an outgoing personality are essential traits for this role, as they contribute to creating a vibrant and approachable ambassador.
  • Recruitment: Act as a recruiter by identifying and attracting potential candidates for various roles and opportunities offered by the client.

 

Skills and experience

  • Strong organizational and networking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Sales or marketing experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated involvement in sports and societies.
  • Must be working towards a degree or have a degree and be able to evidence solid IT skills.
  • Precise, accurate communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • You should be able to learn key tasks and information quickly
  • Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of people internally and externally, over the phone and in-person 
  • Able to prioritise quickly and manage a variety of tasks within deadlines 
  • Proactive and forward thinking 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential
