Description
Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Installation Technician to join our team at Aldershot College. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with a passion for the construction industry and a desire to support students in their electrical installation qualifications and other building-related courses.
Duties and responsibilities
- Instruct students in practical aspects of electrical installation and building-related courses.
- Prepare materials and equipment for practical activities, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Maintain and repair equipment to ensure its optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with the academic team to enhance the overall learning experience for students.
- Contribute to the development of instructional materials and assessments.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant advancements into teaching practices.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.
Skills and experience
- Recognized electrical qualification.
- Practical experience in the field of electrical installation.
- Previous experience working in the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Organized, motivated, and able to work collaboratively in a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively instruct and engage students.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining equipment.
- Previous experience in Further Education is an advantage, but applications from those seeking a change in career are welcome.
