Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Plumbing Technician for a full-time position at Aldershot College. Duties and responsibilities

  • Instruct students in plumbing qualifications and other building-related courses.
  • Order and prepare materials and equipment for practical activities, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Maintain and repair equipment to uphold optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with the academic team to enhance the overall learning experience for students.
  • Contribute to the development of instructional materials and assessments.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and integrate relevant advancements into teaching practices.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.

Skills and experience

  • Recognized plumbing qualification.
  • Practical experience in the field of plumbing.
  • Previous experience working in the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Organized, motivated, and a proactive team player.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively instruct and engage students.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and equipment maintenance.
  • Previous experience in Further Education is an advantage, but applications from those seeking a change in career are welcome.
