Role
Unitemps are looking for a new Receptionist to join a friendly and hard-working team. We are looking for applicants that thrive in a varied customer facing role and genuinely enjoy supporting our students and staff. We are based in the students Union building on the University of Warwick's central campus. Previous experience of working within an office environment, preferably in a front-line role, is essential. This role is fully office based and part-time (working 1pm-5pm Monday to Thursday and 12pm-4pm on Fridays).

Duties and responsibilities

Receptionist Duties: 

  • Meeting and greeting visitors, in accordance with Unitemps’ procedures and customer service standards
  • Respond accurately, politely and promptly to telephone, face to face and email enquiries. This includes advising customers on various issues including payroll, timesheets, absence, holiday pay, references and website queries, referring more complex queries to relevant colleagues 
  • Provide efficient and effective administrative support including photocopying, scanning, word-processing, collating information, and arranging meetings as directed 
  • Develop effective working relationships with customers and colleagues to ensure that service standards and business operations are achieved 
  • Supporting with the team social media pages including content ideas, filming, editing/posting and other ad-hoc duties.  

Right to work Checking:

  • Check workers’ ID documents, in accordance with compliance rules and procedures
  • You will also assist other team members in the event of staff shortage or high work volumes and undertake any other duties and responsibilities that are commensurate with the grade of the role. 

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience of working within a busy office environment, preferably in a front of house role
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of people from both on and off campus
  • A confident telephone manner and good oral communication skills that extend to dealing with sensitive issues
  • Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
